If music be the food of love
Sunday 14th February is Valentines Day. The saying goes that music be the food of love, so why not start Valentines Day treating your loved one to some traditional music in Cyprus?
Music events for Valentines include:
Limassol
At the Onesilos seaside theater at 11am
Representation of traditional Cypriot wedding and the dance group of the Folk Research Association
Larnaca
At the Larnaca Seafront Stage, Foinikoudes commencing 11am
Artistic Greek and Cypriot music by the Anatoliki Mesogios music group.
Paphos
At the Archeological Park entrance, Liminaki commencing at 11am
Songs of love with the Christos Christou group.
Sunday 14th is also Chinese New Year – The Year of the Tiger.
Don’t forget its the final day of the Limassol Carnival with the Grand Parade in the afternoon.
Monday 15th February is the start of the 50 days of Orthodox Lent and is a public holiday. People will be out having picnics, enjoying music and fun.
