Cyprus Events 2012

This Friday 24th September sees the start of the 26th Agia Napa International Festival. This summer festival continues over 3 nights. All events are staged at the Ayia Napa Central Square, and entrance is free.

There will be plenty of entertainment for both adults and children, with puppet theatre and face painting for the children, and music, dancing, mosaic and agricultural exhibits, and a cypriot arts and crafts and painting exhibition for the adults.

Friday 24th
19:30    Introduction with the Philharmonic Band of the Cyprus Police Force
20:00    Opening ceremony
20:05    Colegium Cyprium Trio with light Classical Music
20:30    Address by the Mayor of Agia Napa Mr. Atonis Tsokkos and by the Honourable Minister of Commerce, Industry & Tourism Mr. Antonis Paschalidis

20:45    Cyprus Traditional Dancing Show, Agia Napa Municipal Dancing Group
21:30    Concert with Cretan Traditional singer and instrumentalist Michalis Tzouganakis. 

Saturday 25th
20:30    Collegium Cyprium Trio with light Classical Music
21:15    Concert with the Cypriot Famous Singer Michalis Hatzigiannis   
19:30    Collegium Cyprium Trio with light Classical Music
20:00    Dance Creations by Shakallis Dance Group
20:30    Mermaids and heavies (mangoes) – Greek cinema music, Musical Group of the Agia Napa Cultural Association, Cavo Greco and Rymvos Dancing Group
